Biography
Primarily a singer, Alison Neale has studied the art of song through
many forms. She has performed gospel, jazz, pop, and a capella
music in both solo and choral environments. Wishing to further
her vocal knowledge, Alison majored in voice at Wilfrid Laurier
University studying opera. Following those years, she turned
her attention to musical theatre. All the while, she continued
to put herself out there in the public eye. Using her classical
teaching, Alison Neale was awarded “Best Talent”
at the “Miss Black Canada” pageant for her inspiring
rendition of “Habanera” from Bizet’s “Carmen”.
Alison’s personality also shone through, awarding her
with the “Miss Congeniality” award, as well as
the title of First Runner-up. Since the age of thirteen, Alison
has composed several pieces for the piano. She has performed
as a solo pianist, and has acted as an accompanist on occasion.
Continuing to explore her talent, Alison then branched into
the world of dance. She has performed routines in various
styles such as hip-hop, step, Afro-Caribbean, salsa, meringue,
cumbia and jazz. Along with these, Alison was also trained
in ballet, tap, modern, and Egyptian belly dancing. Still
yearning for creative challenges, Alison began to explore
aerial acrobatics and circus arts. Training on the static
trapeze, silks, aerial hoop, straps, tight wire, and sharpening
variety skills such as juggling has proven her dedication
to creative art.
